The learning model

  • Every Student identifies a topic of his or her interest and then plans an adventure to meet someone in the community who can teach us about the student identified interest.
  • All components of the literacy instruction are connected to and integrated with the student planned and led community-based adventure.
  • Components of our youth development curriculum are integrated throughout the entire learning process in real and experiential ways.
